This Startled Heart block is part of my Postcards series. This block can be made with a striped or solid center. It has minimal point matching (just 2 pieces!) and comes together fast. All the blocks in this series are 4” x 6” (trimmed) and can be used to make quilted postcards that meet the US postal service’s requirements for first class mail.
This pattern includes a bonus 6” x 9” size, which would be perfect for a mug rug for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day!
**Pattern does not include paper piecing or postcard-making instructions. Both are widely available on the internet! I have included a postcard-making supplies list below to help you gather your materials before you dive in!
